Halloween

The students dressed up on Monday, October 31st in their Halloween costumes. We had a parade around the school and Halloween parties.

Red Ribbon Week

Last week was Red Ribbon Week. We had themes for each day.

"Drugs turn you inside out" (students wore their clothes inside out).

Wear Red Day (the color for Drug Awareness)

Balloon Launch to say "NO" to drugs

"Give drugs the boot" (students wear boots)

"Hugs not Drugs" (students bring stuffed animals to hug throughout the day)

Pumkin Patch

We went on a field trip to a local pumpkin patch. Dr. Collins taught us about pumpkins and showed us many different kinds. We walked through the pumpkin patch and picked out a class pumpkin. Dr. Collins also brought every kindergartner a little pumpkin to keep. The kids had a lot of fun on their first fieldtrip!

Pinkalicious

We studied about the color pink one day and read a book titled Pinkalicious. In the book, a little girl eats so many pink cupcakes that she turns pink. We decorated pink cupcakes with pink icing. Then, they ate the cupcakes. They loved pink day!!

Purple Cow

We worked on colors for the first couple weeks of school. The day we learned about purple, we read a poem titled "Purple Cow." We made a snack called purple cows and enjoyed them with Mrs. Pruett's class. The ingredients are grape soda and vanilla ice cream. Most of the kids enjoyed them. :)
